LUNCHEON | MODE EDITS X AUBAINE

This event was and exclusive invite only event organised by Atiya (@atiya_pr) and Modest Fashion London @modestfashionlondon), I felt honoured to be invited, especially after having the pleasure of meeting so many lovely ladies at the previous Imaan Boutique event.

I didn't get a full length shot for you guys (I changed my clothes a few times) but there is a close up of what I wore. I'm packing for a month and a half trip to Malaysia in a few weeks, so I don't have much at my disposal.

Textured Trousers | Asos
Shirt | Miss Selfridge
Shoes | H&M

The event was hosted at one of my favourite restaurants Aubaine London in Mayfair. P.S. I love being one of the first to arrive just to so I can get some untampered set-up shots for your appreciation.

I enjoyed serving myself up some of Maryam Taqi specialist dishes - her AMAZING lightweight silk falsies are  particular favourite of mine... see me rocking them on my lids bellow.

Mode Edits (@modeedits)is a Malaysian company who hosted the event  to showcase Malaysian Products from various companies to bring to the trade event at Pure London Show. Our job was to give feedback using our market knowledge to discuss ideas that we thought the UK market would buy into after testing products ourselves.

Caught touching up and applying my BB powder from Farmsi Malaysia and fluttering my Sunetra 3d silk lashes.

Since we where each given a hamper of goodies, I have decided to do a separate post to review all of the goods I have to share with you all. Wearing my Golden Aisyah Al Mashoor blouse(@aisyahalmashoor)

So, Its fair to say I haven't been to many 'bloggers' events (only one prior to this if I'm going to be transparent). I have to be completely honest with you guys when say that in the past I declined involvement in the 'blogger community' because I was immensely put off by the 'cliquey' nature (does anybody else get put off by this?) . It started after I attended one particular event where bloggers were 'guest' attendees. I felt there was a huge divide and selective interaction between guests and bloggers. I didn't get a particularly nice vibe and it stayed with me for a while.

When I was invited to the Launch of Mode Edits I tried to ease myself into by thinking of it more as a business meeting. I guess I wouldn't be able to call it evolution if I didn't try new things, and I couldn't be any happier that I gave this side of blogging a shot.

The three course meal, conversation and products were all a huge hit with everybody. We played games testing our knowledge of the brands and won pieces to add to our hampers, shared horror stories... things got a little frightening. We planned future meet ups with one another, even planning to meet up with the ladies on my trip to Malaysia later this year!

All of the ladies were so inviting, humble and down to earth. Attendees included; Youtuber @bubblegumhijab, youtuber @romy_ahmed@asmaabdrr (youtube), french influencer @thefleurdusiel, celebrity make up artist @maryam.taqi website, and lifelong closet envy blogger @aana_nourin. It was so lovely listening to everybody voicing their concerns and appraisals on the products.I took a lot away from this event... more than just a food baby.

Its safe to say I didn't just leave in amazements of all of the launched products, but I have left with plenty more genuine lifelong friends, love you ladies.
